Profhilo® is a highly concentrated hyaluronic acid injectable, manufactured by IBSA — the same Swiss company behind the Aliaxin® filler range. What makes it different from both standard fillers and conventional skin boosters is its exceptionally high HA concentration combined with a unique formulation that allows it to spread through the tissue rather than staying localised.
This spreading behaviour is what gives Profhilo® its bioremodelling effect. Rather than simply adding moisture at the injection site, it diffuses through the surrounding tissue, stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin as well as providing deep and lasting hydration. The result addresses both the quality and the structure of the skin simultaneously.
It contains no additives, no chemical cross-linkers, and no BDDE — making it one of the purest injectable skin treatments available.
The concern it addresses.
Profhilo® is particularly effective for skin that has lost its hydration, glow or healthy texture, early signs of laxity where skin feels less firm or resilient than it used to, and fine lines caused by dryness and reduced elasticity rather than muscle movement.
It can be used on the face, neck, décolletage and hands, and works across a wide age range. Younger patients in their thirties use it for maintenance and glow; older patients find it improves the quality and resilience of skin that has started to thin and lose firmness.
From consultation to results.
Profhilo® is delivered using the BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique — five precise injection points on each side of the face, chosen to allow the product to spread optimally through the tissue. The treatment takes around 20 minutes. Some small temporary bumps at the injection sites are normal and settle within a few hours. Bruising is uncommon. There is no meaningful downtime.
The standard protocol is two treatments, four weeks apart. Most patients notice an improvement in skin quality and radiance after the first session; the full effect is visible after the second. Maintenance is typically recommended every six months, though this varies with age and skin condition.
