Nose Shape
Reshaping the nose without surgery.
The nose is the central feature of the face — and small changes to its shape, profile or proportion can have a surprisingly significant impact on the overall balance and harmony of the face. For patients who are unhappy with the shape of their nose but do not want surgery, non-surgical rhinoplasty offers a genuinely effective alternative for the right concerns.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty — sometimes called a non-surgical nose job or liquid rhinoplasty — uses precisely placed dermal filler to alter the appearance of the nose without incisions, anaesthetic or recovery time. It cannot make the nose smaller, but it can address a wide range of shape concerns that change how the nose reads in the context of the face.
Common concerns that respond well to non-surgical rhinoplasty include a dorsal hump — the bump on the bridge of the nose that can be camouflaged by adding volume above and below it to create a straighter profile. A drooping or downward-pointing tip can be lifted with precisely placed filler. Asymmetry — where one side of the nose differs from the other — can often be improved. A flat or undefined bridge can be given more projection and definition.
It is important to be clear about what non-surgical rhinoplasty cannot achieve. It cannot reduce the overall size of the nose, narrow wide nostrils, or address concerns that require structural surgical intervention. At consultation, our clinical team will assess your nose honestly and tell you whether your concern is something that can be meaningfully improved non-surgically.
Treatments to consider.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty using dermal filler is the primary treatment for nose shape concerns. Small amounts of a firm, precise filler are placed at specific points on the nose to alter its apparent shape — smoothing a dorsal hump, lifting a drooping tip, improving symmetry or adding definition to the bridge. The treatment takes around 30 minutes, results are immediate, and there is no meaningful downtime.
This is a treatment that demands both precision and a thorough understanding of nasal anatomy. The nose has a dense network of blood vessels, and filler placed incorrectly carries a higher risk of vascular complication than most other facial areas. It should only be performed by an experienced, medically qualified clinician who is trained in the management of complications. At Mulberry House this treatment is performed exclusively by our clinical team.
